Title: Audio (and other multimedia) Players?
Post by: Spy on May 10, 2011, 08:57:53 PM
Howdy guys.

So what Audio Players do you use on your computers?
I regret to say that I am using iTunes on my desktop simply for syncing with my iPhone, but I just installed foobar2000 on my laptop and I must say I like it. I was originally using WMP without problems, but I figured it would be fun to try something new on this fresh install.
So what do you think of foobar2000? What do you use? Caps?
I'm looking to see if I should change or stick with this (yes I know that song has a shitty bitrate).

VLC

I normally do for video playback, but the issue is it doesn't have a legitimate way to organize content.
Also, it fails at 1080p video playback on mkvs.

Don't have any 1080p videos, therefore, I don't have the problem.
I have all of my music organized in folders, so its not an issue for me, I only really use it to play back my flac.

I use iTunes, no regrets. Does great music organization and tagging, and with my Android phone and DJ software, it's the most supported music player for 3rd party apps (syncing and library support for DJ stuff). If not for that, I'd totally use another player.

I'm pretty impartial to music players. Windows Media Player, iTunes, and VLC are the 3 that I use for the most part, though. They've all got their benefits.

WinAmp, does the job fine and I love using the global hotkeys.

iTunes for most audio.
VLC for videos and FLAC... and sometimes URL streaming, because that's just fantastic
