1. download the files

2.
Find your minecraft main directory
Click "Run" or "Search" and search for "%appdata%" then click 'roaming' then '.minecraft'
3.
In the '.minecraft' directory, open the bin folder, and 'cut' the file named 'version'
4.
Extract the rar file which should now be downloaded, and paste the 'version' file you have just cut into the bin folder
which i have provided in the download, overrwriting the one already in there
5.
Delete the bin folder in your 'roaming/.minecraft' directory and paste in the one i have provided in the download, which should now have your own 'version' file in it.
6. Use the executable provided to play

Nah, it's just been a busy couple days. Heat's out and shit, and it's been busy.

I can always SSH into ByteLife's server and see if I can install the Linux version of the server. Not sure if that would piss my hosts off though, because it might take up a lot of CPU power (it's shared).

I can typically have it running. There's issues at times, but for most of the time, it's running. My power's been wonky the past couple days, but I think everything's good.

Yeah, if you can keep doing what you're doing, I think you server will be just fine. It works great for me.

Server will be down until later today. Doing a few things in Ubuntu, so I'm not able to run the server at the moment.

Will this ever be up again?

Today when I get back home. Lots of shit going down recently, and then the LAN party last night. Some clown installed Linux on my machine while I was there. Long story, again, but once I run a clean install of Windows, or setup the dual boot, we're good. I had to reinstall Windows prior to the LAN party, so I honestly thought the map was gone, but it's perfectly safe. Things should run a lot better as well, so yeah.

Server is back, and should be running a lot better.

Sorry. Windows installed updates while I was asleep and decided to restart. That would be fine if you didn't have to hit F1 to start my computer. Feature is turned off. Should be running around the clock now.

Whats the status of the server?  Are there any creations on it now?

I made my castle and set up warping and some other stuff, and a few other people have started making houses and stuff.

I made some shit go ka-boom. Enjoyment was heavy.

I hope you guys don't mind, I've invited a few friends to the server here and there, so I hope thats alright. Gunna make some epic shit.

So someone actually broke most of my tower down and then filled it with lava. While this would normally be humorous, I am extremely pissed because they broke the cardinal rule of our minecraft server: never destroy another person's creation. I most likely will not be building on the server again.
Please remember our rule before acting.

Don't stop using the minecraft server because of this. It was a simple mistake. 

Yeah, just make sure if you have friends who join that they know not to grief or anything. I don't have a problem with other people joining or whatever, just make sure they're not griefing.
