I've got $1200 and I want a new rig. Wat do guys? I know you're good at this.

So far my list is:

Intel Core i7 930
GeForce GTS 250
6GB DDR3 1600 RAM (it's Corsair)
Asus P6T SE (Motherboard)
700 Watt power supply
1.5 TB hard-drive
CD R/DVD R Optical Drive
Case:



If I buy that from ibuypower custom built with shipping and handling it comes out to $1,135.06

What do you guys think I should do?

Scratch that, I'm going with a GeForce GTX 460 instead. Much better.

Still need your guys help though; go with this or something else?

Build it yourself.
A better experience, less chance of overpaying, and the experience of getting to tinker with and know how a computer works.
As I said before, the gtx 460 is a really good deal, especially if you go for a second one, they are insanely powerful in an SLI setup. I saw a gts 250 in bestbuy today for 176, WTF...gtx 460 is 200 bucks.
I'd have switched to em, but they only support 2 way sli. Not a problem for most people.
For the ram, g.skill and corsair are very good RAM companies. The i7, buy here in california. GO to a microcenter, the i7' 930's are 200 dollars. Get a good quality PSU, antec, seasonic, or corsair. The asus p6t is an ok mobo, I'd opt for a brand like EVGA over it, or a better asus mobo. depending on how money works out, now or later getting a small ssd + a massive storage drive is a good idea, but optional.

Definetly build it yourself, really cool, and much easier than you think.  Do you have a good monitor?
